Hi, Have had my F Type 3ltr for 6 years now. It has developed a noise from what I think is the rear left of the car. Took it to a supposed JLR specialist who said it was the rear differential. So I had a transmission specialist rebuild the rear differential. He did say that he couldn't find anything wrong with it really just a bit of discolouration on a couple of bearings no wear. Noise still there. So have now had new brake disc's - pads- calipers overhauled. Bearings not replaced everyone who has worked on it says nothing wrong with them no play in them. But noise is still there
Anyone any ideas please. I just want it back to how it use to be. Love the car but this is frustrating
Thanks

Mike - welcome to the forum. You should introduce yourself and pictures of your car.

I'm not sure you'll get much help without being a lot more detailed around model, year, RWD, AWD, 'S' or not (LSD), etc. Also need to understand what noise, be it knock, droning, grating, rattle, etc. When does it occur and is it speed related, on or off throttle, turning, etc. etc.

Separately have you questioned the indy as to why they are rebuilding the diff. and full change of brake without success.

As for the wheel bearing that would be first next port of call as they can make a noise without feeling rough or any play in them.

What tyres are you running and what’s the tread like across the full width? A few years ago in one of my vans I had a rumbling noise which was caused by wear on the inner edges of the tyres

I second the advice cj10jeeper has given you

did the transmission specialist actually change the bearings in the diff or just say they looked fine and didn't change them, it wasn't clear?
