Thought I'd advice of my post layup observations now the sun has finally shown itself. I appreciate it's still winter but keen for spring to arrive.
Car has had very little use since December and as the sun's finally come out, gave it a good clean and wax yesterday.
I started the car the day before and it sounded a bit lazy on cranking which I wasn't too surprised about. I've used my CTEK a few times over winter to keep things topped up but haven't done so for about a month. Anyhow, the car started fine but it kept complaining that the key was not present. The spare key worked fine and my primary key just needs a new battery!!
I charged the car battery overnight with my CTEK and all was fine. Went for a 15 mile drive to the shops and when I switched the engine off, I got a low battery warning. Drove same distance home, all fine but again, same message when switched off engine. This time I charged the battery with the reconditioning function. Went to check this morning and noticed a red glow from the reversing camera. I've not heard of this before and started to worry the recon charge had done something untoward. Again I started the car, all fine but again when I switched off the engine, got the same low battery warning. I duly locked the car and went back after 1/2 hr and the hazard light was definitely off so I am happy that it wasn't suffering the OBD disconnect issue although I haven't touched the OBD port.
Decided to disconnect the battery for a few minutes which set the alarm off but I couldn't find how to disable it in the InControl App. Anyway, a couple of minutes passed and I reconnected the battery. This has solved the low battery warning issue and the red glow from the rear view camera is now sorted.
I know there are lots of discussions around low battery warnings but I just wanted to share my findings and solution as I thought it strange that this didn't present on startup, only after turning engine off. I am still not sure why there was a red glow from the rear view camera.
Post winter niggles
You normally use the unlock button on the fob to turn the alarm off. I think if you use the Remote app to set Service Mode before disconnecting the car won't tell InControl it's being stolen.

Ahh yes, thanks SCM. I was in blind panic and aimlessly flying through the Remote App and failed to find Service Mode.
My mistake. I had the boot open via the key fob but failed to unlock the car doors as well. The unlock button didn’t stop the alarm, only reconnecting the battery allowed me to turn off the alarm.
Moral of the story and lesson learned. Fully unlock the car first.
Still miffed about the rear camera glowing red.
