Had my My21 V8 R P575 for 6 months now and really enjoying it, but having come from TVR’s over the last 15 years I’m finding it too quite even with fuse 15 removed. It’s great when driving hard but too quiet when pottering around town.
I’m interested in the Paramount Performance upgrade from cat back although it’s a little pricey, and I know a lot of people have good things to say about the Mod-Stock back box replacement which is a fraction of the cost.
I just wondered what others have done or recommend?

I've had the partial mod done on my 2017 R (doesn't have a particulate filter like newer cars) mine was already loud, it has raised it a notch but kept the same sound. I did have the VAP back box for a bit and it completely changed the sound, didn't sound as refined to me as the original, hence putting original back box back on and getting mod stock to do their great work.
For clarity, partial / full mod just refers to the amount of sound insulation they remove from the back box, they didn't remove so much from mine.
I think you'll make a big difference in volume going full mod, but keep the original tone!

Mod-Stock sounds perfect for me, I want to keep the same tone and deepness (hate a raspy sound), just want more volume.
I'd love to more detail on what they do. Is there any internal re-routing of the pipework (had that done on my Supra & S2000) or do they just open it up and remove some of the sound deadening material as I could have that done locally (I'm 580 miles each way from Modstock)

Details are on the Modstock website, £480 by the looks of it. I believe they go to locations around the country when they get enough customers lined up.

Thanks for that. Same as I had done with my Supra then.

Ah that’s interesting, with me having the partial mod I only had some of the sound deadening removed. What does changing out the perforated tubes do? Mine is bloody loud but stock tone, love it!

With replacing the perforated tubes or getting a tube the right length and cutting long ways and welding around the original perforated tube, stops the exhaust gasses escaping and quietened in the silencer box with the fibre glass which is removed as not needed. So the gas flow is straight out the box instead of the been sent around the internal silencer. If you have a look on YouTube as it may give you a better idea.
