Stunning!

That's not actually as "decked" as I expected 30mm would be. I was looking for more of a subtle drop (15-20mm) but that looks ok. Be interesting to see if it drops anymore once they settle.

How's the ride?

Very nice, Pete! What power did you get out of it after the mods?

Thanks all, specifically no it hasn’t settled any further! Ride is ok, it is noticeably firmer, but not overly harsh. Obviously pot holes are more noticeable. Handling wise, it’s been too wet and slippery to really try anything more than ‘really sensible’!

There was a problem when I turned up at Viezu - they had either ordered the wrong cats, or the fabricator had made the wrong cats! The ones they had delivered were for a V8.

Viezu we’re very apologetic and as I’d driven two hours there said they would do the before and after rolling road tune so my trip wasn’t wasted and then book me back in the end of the week once the proper cats were received.

As compensation they said they would give me a tank of fuel and hold their Black Friday mod prices for me until the new year. I was planning on lowering the car, so booked back in for cats and lowering springs/ spacers.

So the before tune showed 361bhp and after re-map 390bhp. That was before fitting the cats. I didn’t get another rolling road session after the cats were fitted - just a remap. They did say the cats would add about 20bhp. So I reckon it’s about 410bhp, give or take a few.

Seems like Viezu handled things very well. Hats off to them for that.

Sounds like a good result then. I know that remaps of the V6S usually add some 35 hp and that changing the pulleys usually seems to add some further 40 hp, and was curious about what power gains new cats give.

Removed fuse 15, because why not!

Then went for a drive, first one in ages that wasn't in the rain and dark, so I was able to get to learn my new toy in sunlight on dry windy country roads. Came back with a big smile and still smiling as I write this

Yes, I did say to Eve at Viezu that cockups occur in all businesses and the way to judge a business is how they deal with said cockup. Customer service is easy when things go swimmingly, but how problems are handled gives the best true indicator of customer service. In that regard Viezu were excellent. I’d recommend them in a heartbeat.

Pulley upgrades are the next logical step if I want to further tune the car. I am thinking about getting the full underside treated before any more upgrades though.

Dry sunny day in Somerset today so took the opportunity to pull out fuse 15 and razz it across the Blackdown Hills to Wellington Monument and back. Made a proper din, averaged 10mpg, 20 mile spirited drive, approx 11 Litres of fuel, and a massive big smile from ear to ear. 😃

I pull fuse 15 if I’m going out for a drive by myself just for the fun of it, dynamic mode of course. It really does make an awesome din! Then the fuse goes back in ready for the next gentle cruise in comfort mode with Mrs W. :D
