Fuse 15
I had to laugh as he called them 'old' fuses, clearly he's never encountered the Contifuses or glass fuses in cars from last MillenniumPreviously posted YouTube link regarding blade fuses

I have a related question…
So I’ve pulled the fuse on my MY21 and can hear a difference, but are we mostly talking a difference when the car is in manual (flappy paddle) mode, or all the time, even in normal D and auto in standard mode??

2021 P450 5.0 V8 AWD in Santorini Black with all the fun stuff!
If the valves are always open the mode shouldn't make any difference, apart from maybe keeping the revs higher so the noise is more noticeable.

Lots of leather and toys, and loads of noise!

It all comes down to year and model as to how much of a difference you'll notice.
Mine is a V8 2022, and the comparison is night/day obvious. Most notable in Dynamic Mode Automatic - simply put your foot down, then ease back around 2,000 and you'll be treated to gurgles, pops and wub ubs
These were rarely heard (for me) until around 3,000 rpm prior to pulling the fuse. Also, its bloody cold atm, so cracking the windows down to really appreciate it might have to wait till a sunny/warm day.

Hello everyone, this is my first post as I recently joined this forum having bought a 2014 F-Type R RWD last weekend and I couldn't help but read this thread.
My question is that if you remove Fuse 15 will that automatically force the valves to be open causing more noise but NOT force the car to overfuel for the crackles and pops (that I try to minimise for the sake of the CAT's etc.) at the same time?
So more noise under power etc. but without the excessive CAT destroying overfuelling crackles and pops at the same time, have the got that right?

2014 F Type R 5.0 V8 RWD. Red, black pack, panoramic roof, 380w Meridian sound system, active exhaust and a very happy driver.
I can't say for if it will cause more pops and crackles in the older cars, but given it only takes a couple of minutes to do it, you could give it a go and if there are more than you want then it is easy to then replace the fuse (as long as you don't drop the fuse into the engine bay!
