Have you considered the Conti SC7?

It also has a little more sharpness about it on the front axle, and they are a good bit cheaper than the PS4s’s.

Yes I've got Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 on 19" wheels, They are soft comfortable and quiet tyres, they are not UUHP performance tyres like my old p-zeros. If your looking for pure performance look elsewhere.

Have 20” F1 Eagles on another car. Previously had P Zero’s, think the Pirelli compound is a little softer. Good ride with the Eagles and the bonus is they last a little longer

How many miles the Pzero might last in your experience and how about the Asymmetric 6? I managed to get 16K spirited miles out of the Goodyear on a FWD TT and found them excellent in most road conditions.

The Eagle F1 tyre gave about 15% more life than the Pzero’s. The best tyre for overall performance with a longer life is probably the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s but also about £50 dearer per tyre.

When you look at the images of the tyres they are strikingly similar. Click on the image for a better view.
3 main water grooves, 1 outer narrow groove, a near smooth 3 main contact areas with slight cuts at 45 degrees and 90 degree patterns on the shoulders. Clearly you put the tyre requirements into a model, comply with legal requirements, work to a price, test (and copy?) and you get the same answer.
All just seems to depend from there where you want the minor compromises.

I've had 4 Jags (2001 XK8, 2004 XKR, 2010 XKR and 2018 f-Type) and I've never got more than around 10,000 miles from any tyres, Pirelli or Dunlop. I've just put PS4S on the F-Type so will see how they fare!
