Dear all.
Had my F-Type nearly a year now, and it's been faultless. V6 British Design Edition 2017 with only 20k on the clock.
Over the last couple of weeks however, I have been getting a low battery warning on dash. Interestingly, not on start up, but when switching off after a drive.
Car starting perfectly though, anything to worry about? It's booked in for a service with Jaguar in March, so they might be able to advise further?
Thanks
Paul
Low battery warning
I get the same thing now and then, sometimes at start up but mostly when switching off after a drive. I'll swap to the spare key fob to see if that fixes it. Odd one, as it doesn't feel like a low battery and never any issues firing up - figured it was just the alarm putting a slow drain on the battery but not enough to be any real issue.

I get this from time to time. Usually when it’s not been run for a few days. I have now bought a CTek charger, and fitted a charging tail into the boot. Problem goes away after leaving it on charge.

I get this when there is a cold snap and combined with a few days of not driving. Mine happens when I turn the electrics on but don't start the car and wait about 5 mins, and also, same as you, when turning ignition off after a drive.
Try sitting in the car for 5 minutes after one press of the start button (not actually starting the car) and see if you get warnings after 5 mins. If you do then to me it's totally normal.
Somebody told me (migth have been Jag service centre ?) it was part of in built systems to protect battery from draining too low and to keep enough charge to start the car.

Thanks guys. Will do some checks. Yes, getting warning after shutting down the engine occasionally. Weird, as it starts perfectly, no signs that the car is struggling to start.
Bit old but how did you get on ?
Mine is giving me the low battery warning every time now and even after a 4 hour drive.
Don't think there is a battery or alternator fault as it was in with Jag recently for service and they would have pounced to give me a massive quote to fix if there was an issue.
Does the light in the hazard switch go out after about 10-15 minutes? If not, you have modules not shutting down after the OBD port has been disconnected incorrectly. The fix is to disconnect the battery for a minute and then reconnect. Don't close the boot lid while the battery is dosconnected!
You don't say how old your car (or battery) is, but if the battery is getting on in age, it could be due for replacement.

Hazard light switches off
The 'expert' at Halfords tells me today that battery is OK showing 78%.
And I've just done 500 miles this weekend. But most of the time the car sits idle so a chunk of that 78% is probably from that longish trip.
I guess next step is to disconnect battery for a few mins...but I have been avoiding it as I've heard of other developing gremlins thereafter.

If the hazard switch light goes out, the car is shutting down properly, so no need for a battery reset. I'd be inclined to give the battery an overnight charge and take things from there - I'm not convinced that driving the car can ever fully charge the battery.
