While Rawdon Glover parades his luxury handbag on wheels around Paris, a new British company has come up with the car he should be building.

Is it still too late for Jaguar to change their minds?
The car Jaguar should be building
What will make them the money they need?
I think they're doing the right thing going for the big luxury barge first. I prefer to forget the weird marketing thing some months back!
Lightweight roadsters and coupes can and should follow!
That being said the Longbow coupe ticks a lot of boxes for me, but is it too good to be true?

I’m sorry but not a chance will the coup cost £65k. So many small British cars never make it into production because quite simply they offer something they cannot produce.
Jaguar went into trouble because they have a poor reputation for reliability and are way to slow to update / refresh models such as the I pace.
Jags biggest seller by some margin was the F pace, they should have done a hot version of the E pace, then focused on getting an after market company to make they a decent infotainment system as this is always an area they come up poor.

A wholly undeserved reputation, in my experience. Though it does make them absolute bargains if buying used, so not all bad. And why update/refresh when they get it so right in the first place?

Not entirely related to this thread but not sure my remarks warrant an independent thread. I recently collected my car from Group 1 Auto JLR Watford after some warranty work and whilst waiting for the service agent, decided to have a look at the latest version of the F-type. To my astonishment the showroom area dedicated to Jaguar vehicles, whilst populated by a few Range Rovers, was entirely bereft of er....Jaguars!
I mentioned this to one of the salesmen and he told me they no longer stocked Jaguars and only dealt with PX models. Any wonder why Jaguar sales are suffering?

Jaguar stopped all production some months ago and dumped any stock they had left on the market, such as brand new ipace's for half price. Think they are not due to start production again until 2026 - we wait with bated breath
