Thought Id say hello. My first dabble with Jag and 2 weeks into P450 AWD 75 Coupe ownership. Really enjoying it, already done a few bits like the fuse removal, XK wheel spats on the front, some proper OEM alloy paddles instead of the cheap plastic rubbish and shorty plates.
Quick question, should the warning triangle be with the car from new, mines a year old and from a main dealer but no warning triangle in place.

Depending on the market, I think the warning triangle is an option. I didn't get one with my Jaguar ex-management car, also bought at a year old from a main dealer.

Mine didn't come with one (from new) and it didn't occur to me that it should, would or could. Didn't bother me as I've carried one in all my cars since the late 90s

Hi all
Not sure if I am posting the the right place...im over 50, and haven't been a member of a forum before...of any description, so may be going about this in wrong way
Just got a 2018 V6 R-Dynamic, which I absolutely love so far (3 days in).
I also have a 2015 XE I've had for 9 years, but I've had some real bad luck with that car where in May I had to get the engine replaced, and that was 8 months after getting turbo replaced as it failed
Not great.
This has made me determined, but still terrified I have bought a car that might have issues I dont know about, so every pop of exhaust, and rougher then normal idle on cold start has me thinking ive bought a car that might let me down.
Part of it will be new car jitters, but decided if I join in here, then I might be able to get some help and advice, and maybe reassurance!!
Does anyone know if there are any videos in the forum where I could hear things like "normal cold startup sound", and "Normal idle sound" from the engine so i know what it should sound like when all is "OK"? This way I could at least compare to mine and get some ideas on what to listen out for in future too.
Car has good service history, and looks fantastic for its age, but I am technically inept when it comes to cars.
Thanks all!!
Dave

Welcome to the forum, and the F-Type club!
You'll obviously have no turbo worries with the V6, but they are known for being a bit noisy when cold - it's the high pressure fuel pumps doing their thing. My V8 does it, too, and I'm not concerned that things will go awry. This is my fourth Jag (XK8 and two XKRs previously and all proved to be very reliable). Just get on and enjoy it!

I'm bloody loving it. What a car.
That's good to know that it is all a bit noisy on cold start up. I suppose I should be worried if it's asking badly, or noisy after I have been driving for a while, and it isn't!
Also, I have been using a great independent garage (Prestige Jaguar for anyone around Glasgow area) for about 5 years, so I have someone I trust to give it a look over, but he's on holiday this week.
Thanks for the reassuring response
