Paramount Performance Exhaust vs Mod-stock
That would be illegal.

Hi,
How did you get on with the exhaust modification?
I’m also thinking of trying to get a bit more sound out of the car although it sounds decent enough when above 3 / 4k revs, you just don’t get much at lower speeds.

Have you removed Fuse 15 so the valves are open below 3500rpm?

I’ll really pleased with the Modstock modification, just the right sound I wanted with fuse 15 removed. I tried it after the mod with fuse 15 back in place and played around with switching the valves open and closing, but I prefer it with the fuse removed especially sounds good with starting from cold. The videos you see on YouTube doesn’t do it justice, it sounds much better in the flesh.

Yes, I removed fuse 15 but at times it would be nice to hear some more of the pops and crackles.scz4 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 9:57 amHave you removed Fuse 15 so the valves are open below 3500rpm?

Thanks for the update on the modstock mod. Good to hear that you’re pleased with it but is it quieter or louder than you thought the mod was going to be?Cliffedge wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 4:45 pmI’ll really pleased with the Modstock modification, just the right sound I wanted with fuse 15 removed. Does it now sound similar to the pre facelift cars without all the filters?

18ME, it’s about what I expected, it’s too quiet with f15 in place but just right with f15 out and I get the right amount of pops & crackles. I think this is about as far as I can go without it being illegal.
I don’t think it will ever sound as good as the pre 2018 models before they started to fit the filters, but I particularly wanted one of the later models so will have to put up with that. Either way they are great fun to drive.

Sorry to jump in, on my 2014 V8S quieter than I expected, fortunately the car was already quite loud due to its age!18ME wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 12:49 amThanks for the update on the modstock mod. Do you know if the mod is reversible? Also wouldn’t want to affect any warranty issues.Cliffedge wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 8:20 am 18ME, it’s about what I expected, it’s too quiet with f15 in place but just right with f15 out and I get the right amount of pops & crackles. Sorry don’t know the answer to that, I expect you would need to ask Modstock. I do know their work is guaranteed for as long as you own the car.18ME wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 11:08 pmDo you know if the mod is reversible?
