I've reviewed past posts, but technology moves on. Has anybody recently bought a device to convert their 2018 onwards touch screen In Control system from wired to wireless Apple Car Play or Android Auto, and can confirm that it works well? I'm looking at the latest Carlinkit (version 5) which seems well reviewed:

Many thanks.

I used that company - no complaints

i have google maps, wireless carplay etc

everything else still works in the old Jag system, backup camera and all the other menus
the only thing you lose is the factory sat nav as that is the button that switches you to the new unit functionality

Thank you. My link, and that of JonGreen don't appear to work, but I'm not after a firm to work on my car, just a simple plug and play device which will fit into the USB port of my car. Once the phone is connected to it by Bluetooth, it should provide CarPlay or Android Auto...quite a choice on Amazon for £60 or so

Sorry, it was a link to an android auto wireless adapter which I purchased from Amazon, £39.99. It's now sold out so the link has gone but it works really well. You simply plug it into the USB port and it a creates a WiFi connection to your phone which I think is what you're looking for.
