It’s annoying, my (driver’s side!) seat sounds like a creaking door hinge whenever I move a bit to get comfy or when going along a less than smooth country road. It also makes the same creaking sound when I move the seat up or down with the electric seat position controls. Just like a horror movie creaking door sound effect!!! Has anyone else experienced this and is there an easy fix (sounds like something needs lubricating but I wouldn’t know where to squirt my WD40!) The car is booked in for it’s service at Bristol Jaguar in a few weeks time, so I’ll ask them to sort it, but it will obviously be cheaper if there is a quick and easy DIY solution! Has anyone else had this?

The leather seat-strap for the seat belt creaks on my car, right by my ear. To be fair to the car there is a reasonable amount of leather in it, so I guess it's only reasonable to expect it to creak. I realise this might not be the same thing you are referring to

My belt strap was rubbing on the plastic in my ear. You have 2 options put a small piece of felt tape on the plastic or around the belt strap. Or un pop the leather strap twist it round the opposite way and pop in back in place doing this stops the rubbing.

Thanks, I have tried your suggestion. Alas, It’s not that. My creaking seems to be coming from lower down, maybe in the region of where the back joins the seat. I’ll move the seat as far forwards as it’ll go without taking it out and try a squirt of car lubricant on any obvious moving parts and see if that’ll remedy it.

Mine does exactly this. Tried leather conditioner but doesn't help. Did you find a fix?

I either turn the music up, or better still, put my foot down a bit harder. Seems to mask the creaking quite well

I've heard people have put the soft furry side of Velcro on the underside of the strap - where it rests on the seat shoulder - and that might help

Are you sure it's the seat and not your bones? ;)
