I can recommend a ‘3’ mobile pay as you go SIM from Amazon.
Either a 12GB / 12 month or a 24GB / 24 month SIM

These work straight out the package with no need to pre activate.

Here's another question. I use Android Auto (with one of those whizzy wireless AA devices). Apart from the Google satellite map looking thing (a bit blurry and not great definition) what other advantages can I gain from my epic sim card? :D

Probably not much if you don't use the built-in satnav. I use it and find the extra internet-gathered stuff useful (real-time traffic congestion, etc). YMMV ;)

Thanks, that's pretty much what I thought. I like the built-in sat nav as it shows on the dash, but I also use TomTom on my phone and its camera database is imho the best. Certainly, it has more locations (static and pop-up) than Google/Waze. I've run a TomTom standalone unit alongside a Waze/Google android auto set up and TomTom wins every time over a reasonable distance. Obviously it's a moot point as I never speed.
