I believe it's ilegal in the UK to leave an unattended car with its engine running in a public place, so remote start should only be used when the car is on private property.

I would only start it outside my house or possibly outside work (we have a private car park with a coded barrier) so all good.

The police are too busy catching all the burglars around the country, I use remote start all the time when I'm out and about, great feature.

Whilst it’s a great feature, yes it’s an offence - The Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 42, and the Highway Code both prohibit engine idling, except on private land.
