Hi all,
Replaced my climate control unit (the one with the actual dials and led displays on it) as my drivers side dial had stopped working and was stuck on lowest heat setting, bought a working replacement unit off ebay in good condition , for the same model year as mine (2015 ftype) this one is from a 2013 f type but should be compatible, fitted and all plugged in, power going to it as hazard button and light work fine but not response from the actual climate control buttons and dials themselves. No lights on them at all. Does this unit require recoding or something? Really confused as to why it wont just work , assumed it would be plug and play.

I fear you've bought a non-compatible unit. We've replaced these a couple of times and it is not a simple matter of the same model year etc, you need to make sure the serial number if the unit matches your car. I suggest asking your local specialist to help, the units are not terribly costly - several hundreds from what I recall (I mean, still ludicrous for something which probably costs Jaguar £50 to buy in, but...).

I must have got lucky, when I replaced mine for a unit with heated seat control is was simple plug and play.
It could be the unit you've purchased is faulty.
