Got a chance to visit Wales for the first time a couple weeks ago (Snowdonia & central Wales). Covered almost 900 miles (round-trip) in less than a week and the Jag never skipped a beat! Also averaged around 34mpg, split almost 50/50 between motorway driving & spirited driving
Excessive 20mph regions aside, Wales is a fantastic place to enjoy driving. Plenty of well-paved, open roads with minimal traffic and gorgeous scenery. Really makes me envious when returning to England and seeing the current state of our roads.
As a bonus, I spotted a red F-Type at the lodge I was staying at
Lovely pictures with stunning views ( both fore and aft ) we are on a road trip next week from
Sussex coast to Suffolk coast~ across to Chester and day in North wales~ across to Derby and home.
Looking forward to the challenges ahead .

I'm sure the Jag will tackle that with ease Please do share some snaps of the adventure!

Amazing photos, #3 is my favourite
Cheers both!! Quite proud with how they turned out considering the photos were snapped from a smartphone.
Yeah, #3 was a bit of a pain I had to hop over to the other side of a busy 60mph road, and there was no pavement on the other side! I was basically playing Frogger irl haha

Glad you picked the right week to travel!
Pure luck, honestly. Had a few spots of rain but thankfully it was mostly dry & sunshine throughout
I used to live in mid Wales and seeing your photos brought back many memories of the great driving roads there! Now living in Devon where the roads have so much more traffic! I didn't have my F Type then but had a Mercedes SL320 which I've still got.

Must've been a great feeling living in Wales and knowing that you have great roads like that in your back yard

In my part of mid Wales the roads were great driving roads, very few potholes, little traffic but plenty of sheep to look out for! The photo shows the view from my back yard where you could look down on the fast jets starting the Mach Loop (sorry it was before my F Type).
