Daylight running light
I think it's the Tesla truck which has a full width LED at the front rather than headlights which will make it difficult to judge how far away it is at night, whereas it's relatively easy to do so on vehicles adorned with headlights. I am a fan of the full width LEDs at the rear as on certain cars they do look quite cool

Kev - I agree the full width rear LED can look cool, but the downside is when all cars migrate to them which is a sure thing, then it will make driving that much more difficult and mask the real purpose of seeing the corners, indicators and brakes of cars in front, with a full blown Blackpool illuminations scene rolling down the road.Kev wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 9:29 am I think it's the Tesla truck which has a full width LED at the front rather than headlights which will make it difficult to judge how far away it is at night, whereas it's relatively easy to do so on vehicles adorned with headlights. Thanks for the Feedback I just think they should be on all the time like the front mine It whilst stationary but turn off as I pull away they switch off I'd like to have the option I also think If the front ones are on the rears should be too It's a great safety feature I also think the rear are very good looking I now find myself turning on my lights to have them on but It then takes away the superb J blade sidelights from the front ,,,my brake lights are exceptionally bright as well as my front but whilst stationary when I turn the switch do to switch them on them on they do slightly dim but still beautiful they are a very rare sight up here In the Highlands to compare to and they were like that before the mega upgrades.
Thank you all and have a wonderful weekend

The only time I can actually see the rear lights being useful is when conditions change enough for them to become necessary. Sadly, even automatic headlights don't account for those conditions a lot of the time and there are too many drivers that either "don't think" or "assume the car knows what's best". I've driven through some properly miserable weather in the F-Type in the last couple of weeks and I was constantly having to turn the lights from 'auto' to 'dipped' AND even turn on the rear fog light to ensure I could be seen from behind, all the while my car thinking "it's light enough, don't need to turn the headlights on". As dumb as I think some drivers are (and I'm no saint), my car's auto headlights and windscreen wipers make them look like geniuses at times.

I checked mine last night and found that the rear tail lights do come on with the front DRLs. Only had the car 6 and a quarter years, too! Anything else I should know that I've missed so far?
I never use "Auto" lights, I like to be in control of my lighting, auto wipers are brilliant, though.
