I've seen threads on this before, maybe on the us site. This one from their site has a couple of people saying how they removed theirs:

This is a video that I took when I was selling the car which shows how easy the front number plate is to fit and remove. I test fitted the plate in one of the other holes in the Jag and it seems to fit ok but should be prefect in the two holes where the brackets are.

The R8 was lovely! I’d have been really tempted to keep that and get the F-Type as well! Great plate by the way.
I did love that car but had to make way for the California. Had the plate for 22 years now and will be with me until I die, cars come and go and it’s always nice to have a change.

It took about 10 minutes by cutting a slot in the screw threads
Now just need to get it ready with plates and ribbon ready for the wedding on Sunday.
….so much better without the chunky reg plinth!!
Nice car. Please post photos when it’s all dressed up as a wedding carriage! Question is, will you drive it as quietly as possible so as to not overshadow the bride?! The temptation to make a raucous din will be high, but you must suppress it!
MY21 Bluefire Blue F-Type R P575 AWD 5.0 V8 coupé. Fixed rear spoiler. Sport pack. All the options.
Economical daily work car: MY23 Smokey Grey VW Polo Style P95 FWD 1.0 TSI manual. All the comfort and tech options.
Although the way I did mine worked, the technique of cutting a slot to fit a small screwdriver in the protruding end of the bolt is now an obvious and clearly easier way of achieving the removal of the front reg plinth. I would recommend this method to anyone else who stumbles across this forum thread who is looking to do the same.

It’s no church wedding, just a simple affair in a small country hotel in the Cotswolds. Rather than a grand entrance it’ll just be a matter of parking up in the hotel car park before everyone else gets there
I’ll try and get a few pics up in the gallery.
