Saw this and thought it covered almost all of the potential F-Type specific issues to look for when buying so thought it useful to some. (He didn't mention the central air vent can get stuck)
One thing I didn't like was with them all listed in one place, even though he says the cars are generally reliable, it still makes it sound like many things go wrong which we all know isn't normally the case. It could almost put people off.

Perhaps use Bentley parlance and call them 'Concerns'? Every car out there has its faults, and forums are the place to find them. At least 'spontaneously combusts' and 'likely to catch fire at some point during ownership' wouldn't be on the list like some other high-end exotica typically painted red with a dancing horse logo...

Honestly, with F-Types, a solid service history and a car that hasn't been sitting around for long periods of time is really the main thing to look out for. The most common faults tend to be issues stemming from a low battery charge/voltage. Can't say the same about something like a Maserati, where it would be a godsend if their electrical issues were simply battery related.
Although my F-Type had a solid service history, the previous owner covered less than 2000 miles in a year and that resulted in my engine belts developing an issue where they squeaked like crazy, even in warmer temps. Thankfully, that's been the only issue I faced in my past year of ownership.
