First time posting. Purchased a 2015 V6 about 3 weeks ago driving smoothly and fantastically. Noticed an oil leak so brought it in to an Indy garage for that. However when the transmission was dropped down they noticed that coolant had leaked into the transmission
The cause coming from the transmission oil cooler. When this happens I see the colour of the oil tends to turn to a strawberry milkshake type. In my case as you can see in the videos it’s more a brown / orange colour
Garage is recommending a full transmission overhaul alongside new transmission & oil coolers plus new water pump which of course comes with a big cost
At this point is flushing the system and fixing the transmission oil cooler worth a shot or is the overhaul the only option.?
I know that once water enters the transmission it will react with the adhesive on the clutch disks but my hoping is that I caught it early enough since it was driving fine that the flush might do it?
Is a transmission overhaul required
Which independent garage did you go to as no Tech would leave a torque converter to drain like that over the floor because of environmental issues and having to clear up the mess?

Did you buy car privately or from a dealer? If the latter then you’ll have a statutory warranty of three months (I think?), so why aren’t you going direct to them?

It may be worth asking the question in the US F-Type forum because they'll have some members who live in hotter places than those of us in the UK. The coolers will be working harder in the UAE because of the higher ambient temperatures, something we experience for a day or two every now and then in the UK, so this may have lead to the failure of the transmission cooler housing? It may be worth asking the question in the US F-Type forum as I'm sure they'll have people over there living in similar temperatures where the heat is similar-ish to yours. JLR would've done their extreme cold/heat testing but things can change once these cars get out into the wild and are driven by different people
You could try flushing the transmission out and replacing the fluid with new but the success rate would depend on how long the coolant has been in the mix? It would be worth a shot doing so, along with replacing the failed cooler
