I inherited a GTechniq kit with my car to go with the ceramic coating.
But I have not used the wash it came with as the label makes it sound nasty - skin irritant, long-lasting toxic to aquatics (I have a pond next to the drive).
So I was using a bottle of Zymol which I had left over from the last time I had a car I cared about.
That's all gone now - what should I buy for the weekly wash?
What's your favourite shampoo?

Meguiars yellow shampoo at present but one my suppliers suggested another one which I had never heard of:
Arexon or some name like that….anybody heard of it or used it?
According to my contact it’s used on Ferraris and it’s supposed to be the bees knees?

I've been using Bilt Hamber Autowash for many years. You don't need much and it works well. My car is still swirl free as I prewash with their auto foam and use the 2 bucket technique. Pure water rinse and blow dry.

Have you tried a superpoo?

I gave Hydro UK a try with their pre-wash, snow foam, and shampoo.
Really quite impressed. The paint looked like more of the colour came through and the metallic had more sparkle.
The Mrs's car is a rolling skip and it cut through a lot of the grime when I decided it was just too dirty!
Hydro do loads of discount codes, so don't look at the price on their website as the price you'll pay.

Hi all, many thanks for the good suggestions. I'm impressed how many of you take two, even three bottles into the shower.
I ended up somewhat randomly with a bottle of Bilt Hamber Autowash as recommended by Jaguandy. It lathers up nicely and leaves a good shine.

I use Labocosmetica SEMPER, smells awsome and is a pleasure to use, especially if used in conjunction with their snowfoam, NEVE.
I've tried Hydro products recently and not overimpressed. The manual spray bottles are a pian to use, lots of pumping just to do two panels and product no better than many others I've tried including Bilt and Hamber.

If you're into snow foam for the pre-wash, I can vouch for Bilt Hamber Auto-Foam. Purchased a 5L bottle and it's lasted me 3 years! Still got a few more washes left in it too.pirateprentice wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 9:49 am ... with a bottle of Bilt Hamber Autowash as recommended by Jaguandy.
