Need to restore F Type V6 S Manual Pops and Bangs

Hi everyone,

I’ve been the proud owner of a 2016 F-Type S (manual) for about two months now, and I’m loving it so far. However, after reading countless threads here about the service bulletin update that supposedly mutes the exhaust noise, I suspect my car might have had it applied.

Compared to the loud crackles and pops I’ve seen in YouTube videos, mine is much quieter. I only hear those pops around 3,000–4,000 RPM in second and third gear when I sharply lift off the throttle.

So I have two questions:

Is there a way to check, via an OBD-II diagnostic tool, if my car actually received this update?
If it did, can I restore the old exhaust note through an official update, or is an ECU tune my only option?

H239 update does not apply to earlier cars so it depends on your model year (MY). If you send me your reg I will look it up for you.
