Hey all,
Tried the roof today for the first time in many months, the roof unlatched but then didn’t retract, I was stuck with a ‘roof not latch, max speed 30mph’ message, which is fairly generic I see after doing some searches.
To cut a long story short, I have done the manual latch method as per the manual, using the tools in passenger footwell. I was concerned about rain water coming in etc.
I’ll now try the setting the battery etc but the main question is does anyone know how to replace the motor shaft that is removed as part of the manual latch process (on the roof at the front, underneath the circular access port)? It slots part way back, but I can’t get it in much further, I have tried a gentle hammer back in, but don’t want to cause any damage.
Thanks all

I have the same issue, roof unlatches but won't open.
Fuses are intact, and tried disconnecting battery for 15 mins but no luck so far.
Have you got anywhere fixing yours, or any suggestions other than take it to jag?
I'm in Central Scotland if anyone has any recommendations for an independant jag specialist.
Thanks

I have this same issue. I have investigated and succeeded in using the manual method to latch the roof, but have no clue how to manually retract it completely, which I think might persuade it all to start working again. I'd be interested to hear anyone's experiences of this.
