USB in cubby box stopped working

I'm adding to this old thread with a similar problem.

I have intermittent USB connection to my phone, which is a problem as I use Android Auto with google maps for navigation.
Sometimes it works fine for days, other times it's unusable. it often disconnects when I go over bump.
So I conclude there is a dodgy connection either inside or behind this box.
Both of the USB sockets behave the same so its not just some gunk in one of them.

The item linked above on BritPart is a different one to mine on MY21. I can't see any like mine on ebay.
I'm hoping I can just remove it, disassemble if needed and clean the contacts to fix it.

A post above suggests prising the panel out from the top - is that right?

That part is what I've got in my MY18. Good to know I can get a spare! Hope you can find the right one for yours.
