Can you elaborate please?
(I know I can/nearly always do check my level before starting up, and a run.)

I’ve got to be honest from a technical POV, I’m surprised there’s any vehicle where you can only check the oil level AFTER a drive?
What if the oil level is low to start with, then a ten minute drive with no/low oil isn’t going to do any engine a lot of good 😳

From my notes:

"Using the "Open bonnet" technique of pushing the START button without foot on brake (so that the engine doesn't actually start), using the steering wheel's toggle controls to maneuver to the "Vehicle Info" area and then hitting Cruise CAN(cel) twice to see this result.
Please note that the drivers-side door MUST be open/ajar while doing this. If you close your drivers-side door you will get the unhelpful (Underfilled) message."

I've never done this myself, so have no personal experience of it working (or not!).

Really? Service mode is activated through the remote app. There's a procedure involving pressing the CAN button twice to show the real time level.
I'll double check on mine. Last time I just opened the bonnet and navigated to the oil level and it showed on a cold engine just above the bottom of the scale

Service mode is designed to stop the car reporting things like battery disconnect and other stuff that may happen during a service which may trigger an InControl alert. Open your bonnet and check in the Remote app if Service Mode has been enabled.
