What have you done to your F Type today?
Very familiar angle. Which track was this?

Lovely photo. If you ever want to treat that plastic front lip protector, I recommend this dressing.

It lasts a long time. It's originally a tyre dressing but does super well on plastic trims too. A little goes a long way.

Yes, that lip looks rather rubbish when it's untreated. It also sits so low and deep that it's hard to miss unless you see the car from this angle in direct sunlight. Since that photo I actually bought something similar and treated it which made it look much better.

Fitted new wheels with Michelin Pilot Alpine winter tyres today. They are second hand wheels refurbished in black, with new TPMS valves, balanced and then treated with ceramic coating. Should get me through the winter.

Loving the commitment to drive it all year long! I keep driving mine when it's 4C and up just more sensibly for the season. My mpg is now outrageously high at 20 mpg!Pilot Pete wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 6:06 pm IMG_9659.jpegFitted new wheels with Michelin Pilot Alpine winter tyres today. Definitely all year driving here as well although I tend to avoid driving it when it's wet and the car is clean even in the summer, or when the roads are too grubby and salty in the winter. Best thing in the winter is if you catch a day when there's a fair amount of fresh clean snow not messed up by the gritters... DSC off and you can really play with the balance of the car.
Winter tyres is the way to go. I run a set of 19" propellers with OEM Pirelli Sottozeros which works great but doesn't look as great as my summer carbon blades.

Winter driving - I had my first go at starting the car at -3C last week (had to go to work!). The previous day's snow had melted to slush and then refrozen.
So.... drivers door handle did partially deploy, but door frozen shut until some gentle hard heaving. Boot frozen shut. Wipers frozen. Wing mirrors no deploy.
Drivers door would then not shut properly because of ice somewhere. Some good minutes of warm-up and I was off and going, in snow mode at first.
Everything was fine when I got to work, happily - no fuses blown, so all good. I do fret a bit about all the motorised bits and pieces.
