Re: Paramount Performance Exhaust vs Mod-stock

Thanks for all your comments I’ve now booked it in with Mod-Stock. Hi, How did you get on with the exhaust modification? I’m also thinking of trying to get a bit more sound out of the car although it sounds decent enough when above 3 / 4k revs, you just don’t get much at lower speeds. Have you remo...

My favourite car out of all 27 listed a few threads above. Shortly followed by the E36 M3 Evo (modified). So much so I begged the next owner to sell it back to me after 2.5 years in a Z4M.

Re: What cars did you have before the F-type?

As my F-type is a coupe, I think of it as a 50/50 split between a GT and a sports car. I think that's a fair assessment, sporty GT :D Here's my list. Yikes, 27 cars in 28 years of driving. Rover 414 Peugeot 205 1.4 Roland Garros Rover 216 Coupe Rover 218 Coupe Kit Cars Tiger Super Cat E Ford Cougar...

Re: What cars did you have before the F-type?

I'll add mine later (too many to list off the top off my head). Would be interesting to see if each person feels their F-Type is a sports car or GT. Always baffles me this one, but suspect it's down to car ownership history and what you have to compare it to. Suspect above ex Ferrari owner will have...

Re: Bike rack suggestions F-Type convertible

Thanks for the replies. I came across this luggage rack (revo rack) recently. https://carluggagerack.co.uk/2/jaguar-f-type-luggage-rack/?amp I wonder if that would do the job if I take the wheels off? Btw that Supra looks really nice 8-) You might be able to do something with it, have some bar weld...

Re: Thinking about an SVR

You may miss the shorter gearing of the V6S in terms of fun, I do. Loved banging through the gears. V8 with V6S gearbox would be the best F-Type. Wouldn't it just be the diff ratios? Probably yes. Would be great to do a diff swap, but it's not so each on the F-Type since they're fundamentally diffe...

This confirms the earlier post suggesting the longer gearing in the SVR improves mpg on motorway runs. It'd be crazy NOT to get an SVR 😂👍🏻

Re: Bike rack suggestions F-Type convertible

I've bought 3 racks from Birds, last one just 6 months ago. Fantastic bit of kit. When I spoke to him in the summer he told me he wasn't making any more for the F-Type as there wasn't much demand, but didn't realising he was retiring. As you state, I don't think a normal rack would work unless you c...

Re: Creaking drivers seat

The leather seat-strap for the seat belt creaks on my car, right by my ear. To be fair to the car there is a reasonable amount of leather in it, so I guess it's only reasonable to expect it to creak. I realise this might not be the same thing you are referring to Mine does exactly this. Tried leath...

Re: Thinking about an SVR

Not a SVR owner, but have a P450 V8 and previously had a V6S for 3 years, both RWD. MPG on a longer motorway run is actually slightly better on the V8, longer gearing. Day to day there's very little in it, nothing noticeable. The only time I do notice much worse MPG is short (1-2 miles trips around ...
