If it's the former, than I don't mind a little less pops and bangs but if it's the latter, then this is a major bummer, especially if you're buying the V8 pot primarily because of the noise like I am.
It’s very hard to describe the difference - you need to experience both to form a view.
I was originally set on getting a non PPF car but when I tested a 18MY car with all the volume and pops and bangs it did seem almost embarrassingly excessive…so I was happy to get a 19MY car in the end (but this was more about finding the right car/spec - I’d be happy with either).
When I’m in the mood for a blast I do think my car is too quiet and crave a bit more volume.
Removing fuse 15 increases the volume to some extent but does also add some drone at certain revs….so you can’t win!
The SVR exhaust is also different from the R so that’s another variable.
Overall, I do think the earlier cars sound better, but you might be willing to sacrifice some drama for a newer/better spec car.
Happy hunting!

The dealer apologized for the radar cruise control mistake and sent a full spec sheet along the VIN number (attached).

According to the spec sheet, seats are heated and cooled... Why does it then not say "push" on the climate buttons along with little seat image? Have they moved this to the infotainment screen?

The push seat logo will not appear with just the ignition on, The engine has to be running, then it shows up.

Looking at the spec sheet the sound system is 380w, The top spec surround system is 770w.
No heated steering wheel.

Good that you got the build sheet. A number of years ago you could look up all that info yourself online with just a VIN but it's unfortunately limited to dealers now.

Hmm, given that these cars should be serviced at least once a year (with a one month delay grace period if I recall correctly) the service history looks a bit incomplete. Maybe that's why they're not including any warranty.

Currently there's no recorded service since March 22, but maybe it's because it's been off the road since March. All services are with the same dealer though so they should be able to explain why the history looks as it does. https://osh.jaguar.com/home if you haven't already checked it out.

Thank you for the link, MajorTom!

I will try and gather VIN numbers and spec sheets from all cars I'm interested in and I will be back then.

Enjoy the summer everyone.

Did pre-facelift cars (pre 2020 with the old shape LED headlights) have Pixel-LED headlights?

Nope. Adaptive (unless that was an option, not sure), but not pixel based. They're supposed to adapt the light pattern to the speed and type of environment you drive in but I drive in darkness so rarely that I haven't really noticed any difference.

These guys think otherwise:

https://www.autoscout24.com/offers/jagu ... roid-share

It's a 2020 car with old shape headlights.

I'm disappointed about erroneous specs in many ads. Are non-Jaguar dealers (like this one) able to source the full spec sheet or not? I don't want to give them a hard time if they can't...
