Yes, I'm thinking along those lines once the new tyres are on. Mike Allen have looked after my cars for many years, they do know what they're doing.

New rear tyres on order for Tuesday fit. The rears have worn about 1.5mm more on the inside than the outside. Is this typical or is it worth getting an alignment check? If so, are amost tyre shops capable of adjusting F-types' alignment properly, or should I aim for a Jag specialist?

Re: Accelera tyres
I'm surprised that matching tread depths is suggested because of diff or AWD. Most of the time the diffs will be working a bit even if the tyres are exactly the same. For grip I understand that matching is preferable but not for diff wear?

Re: Charge F-Type battery
On her car the fag lighter stayed live so in there. The Jag one isolates when locked so simplest way would be a wire out to either the battery or the posts under the bonnet.

Re: Charge F-Type battery
When my mum used to leave her little car for weeks at a time, we rigged up a solar charger panel propped up behind the windscreen. Seemed to work OK.

Re: I hate driving in the UK
Road markings - I wish there were more signs on posts showing which lane to use at junctions. The road paint is often obscured by traffic. Oh, and how many people actually stop at stop signs! There's one near me where some people whizz straight through, we do see the odd prang as a result. Not exclu...
